As we prepare to go to press less than two weeks after the attacks we are still, like so many others, in a state of near shock. Next time our editors–all of whom seem to agree that violence only leads to greater violence and that travel is, as Rick Steves says, “a huge unifier, perhaps more important than ever”–will offer a practical guide to travel in the post-September 11 world. Meanwhile, here are some early responses. More of their “Travel Now!” comments are scattered throughout this issue.
